Prayer Prescription for This Date
PRAYER Rx --- April 1
Dear Lord, had I been there when You rode into Jerusalem, would I have been shouting hosannas and waving palm branches? Would I have sanctioned Your teachings, stood up for Your message, proclaimed Your Lordship? ... What do I find myself doing today? Am I rejoicing, sharing Your gospel, defending Your Word, Your values, Your absolutes? Or have I withdrawn to my comfortable TV chair, not wanting to get involved or to think about my children's future world? ... Forgive me, Lord, if by being apathetic or naive I have inadvertently joined the crowd, mocking Your truths, deserting Your teachings, re-writing the Bible to make today's sins acceptable. ... Open my eyes, Lord, to see myself as You see me. Strengthen me to be Your kind of Christian, lest I find myself allied with those who are crucifying You anew.
In Jesus' name I pray.
